The yellow-orange hues of Sweet & Sour were our attempt to do something a bit more ‘pop’ with the figure. Jerry tends to gravitate towards more masculine dark tones…so I thought it was really interesting and fun to embrace this brighter color palette…which I felt has a more feminine quality to it.

We ended up getting in contact with the creators of the “L Word” television series with a request to include El Panda on the show.  Apparently they saw El Panda at Kid Robot, loved the figure and wanted to have him featured on the show. They e-mailed us, we e-mailed them back and sent some El Panda figures.

We assumed it would be a toy in the background of a scene…so it was very surprising to find out that El Panda Sweet & Sour would be the focus of one of the scenes. It was pretty surreal seeing the actors read the character description for El Panda from box. Super cool.
