Tequila has a special place in our heart because he's the first figure we manufactured.

We believe in first impressions. And we wanted ours to be bad ass! Tequila was perfect for this.

The idea behind Tequila came from Gobi's youth (as many of his ideas do). Gobi was obsessed with doing a character with a cactus head. When Bill and Jerry were developing the Luchadores5 comic, Gobi suggested that he redesign his cactus guy for the Lucha Libre audience.

Gobi's favorite member of the Luchadores5 is Diablo Loco...which is pretty cool...because you can see a bit of that in the final Tequila design.

As with all the figures, the Tequila Original is the version based on Gobi's original colors for the character. Naturally, the Original versions are the constant favorites of our Artists (since it's their darned colors!).
